The introduction of the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI) in DSM-5 (American Psychiatric Association 2013) is a milestone in the development of cultural psychiatry and, more broadly, of person-centered mental health care. This volume provides detailed elaboration of the rationale, development, and application of the cultural formulation in diverse clinical settings. In this concluding chapter, I consider some directions for the future development of the CFI and of cultural formulation more generally, in terms of theory, research, and practice.
