DSM-IV encourages the use of a multiaxial system for evaluation
(see DSM-IV- TR), as did DSM-III and DSM-III-R. A multiaxial
system involves an assessment on several axes, each of which refers
to a different domain of information that may help the clinician
plan treatment and predict outcome. There are five axes in the DSM-IV-TR
